The mission of the Trust AI team is to build trust in every interaction that members have on the LinkedIn platform. The team uses a wide suite of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to automatically identify and remove abusive behavior on the platform, such as scams, spam, fraud, harassment, among others.
As an Engineering Manager on the Trust AI you will be responsible for leading a team of machine learning engineers who build abuse prevention and detection algorithms at scale. Your team members will research and leverage techniques like anomaly detection, deep learning, graph community detection, and active learning to design solutions, while also engaging in attack investigation to deepen their domain knowledge. We do the work end-to-end: performing data deep dives, engineering features, modeling, and writing production flows. You will work with some of the smartest and welcoming engineers on one of the most timely & challenging problems of this era.
Manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers, and provide technical guidance.
Coach the team to produce impactful solutions using machine learning at scale that improve Trust in the LinkedIn ecosystem.
Participate with senior management in developing a long-term strategic roadmap.
Attract top talent and build a world-class team of passionate engineers.
Engage in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team,
Collaborate with anti-abuse infrastructure engineering, product, data science, and Trust & Safety teams for developing novel solutions to challenging problems in the fraud and abuse space at LinkedIn.
Experience leading a team of engineers as a people manager for 1+ years
4+ years of industry experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a quantitative field.
Experience in Java, Scala, Python, C++, or another object-oriented language.
2+ years of management experience
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or related discipline.
Worked with web-scale traffic and data.
Experience working in the Trust space or an adversarial agent environment, such as web security
