| Our client is eager to bring aboard a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who not only shines technically but also thrives in cross-collaborative environments. As our client mold the cloud backbone of the compute service, they are in need of someone who not only has top-tier technical chops but also understands the art of cooperation, values low ego, and cherishes team harmony. This role demands both expertise in public cloud automation and an empathetic approach to team dynamics. Responsibilities – Propose, build consensus for, design, and lead new infrastructure initiatives to enhance the productivity of the broader engineering organization – Be responsible for the infrastructure underlying our production SaaS product and inference hosting platform and all the developer resources that serve it – Build roadmaps and project plans for execution of infrastructure initiatives – Operate services running in Kubernetes, manage cloud services such as Datadog and others – Build and manage systems across multiple cloud environments with a focus on infrastructure as code and platform automation – Build and improve internal developer tools and help drive CI/CD efficiency to increase productivity across the engineering organization – Be a mentor and someone who leads by example with a strong focus on knowledge sharing – Participate in an on-call rotation with other infrastructure engineersIdeal experience -Expert understanding of Linux systems and networking -Expert understanding of Kubernetes and cloud native architecture -Demonstrated experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure -Demonstrated experience operating Kubernetes at scale -Demonstrated experience operating a SaaS at scale -Proficiency with infrastructure as code/configuration management tools, such as Terraform. -Proficiency with CI/CD tooling, FluxCD, ArgoCD, etc. -Proficiency with databases and message queues. -Background in application development and software engineering desirable -Experience with multi-cloud distributed architectures desirable -Computer science degree or related experience desirable but not required -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to empathize with co-workers and customers -Collaborative working style; able to self manage your time effectively |
