Responsibilities: – Lead the POI(point-of- interest) database development, including schema design and architecture. – Play a key role in strategic partnerships with third parties and evaluate inhouse-build vs. buy trade-offs to build unique location discovery experiences. – Dive deep into Tiktok‘s location based products and users’ needs in order to continuously improve the accuracy and coverage of the POI database – Work with a cross-function team to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs. – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographics, or related field. – 7+ years of experience in online maps related areas, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. – Strong knowledge of the technical solution to indexing the real world and building sophisticated POI database – Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers. – Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and strategic thinking capability. |
