About The Team The commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a contested space amongst leading Internet/Tech companies, and its future growth can not be underestimated. We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making our company’s go-to commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and users. Our team is working on key business strategy planning and analytics. We are committed to bringing insights into daily operations, enabling executive teams to make strategic decisions, and keeping business on track with on-going data analytics. Key Responsibilities – Assume pivotal role as the primary strategy business partner (BP) for the e-commerce business teams, leveraging data-driven insights to shape strategic agenda of business teams and fuel business growth. – Monitor on-going internal and competitive business trends in their area of responsibility; leverage both internal and external/syndicated data to perform in-depth internal and market analysis and competitive landscape benchmarking. – Synthesize internal and external research to formulate data-driven near-/medium-/long-term business recommendations, ensuring a forward-thinking and adaptive approach. – Support business teams on high priority business operations topics, especially breaking down GMV targets into demand and supply drivers. – Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies to influence business decisions/change and strategically improve operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement through targeted initiatives that address specific challenges. Required Qualifications – 5 years experience of strategic and analytical experience at leading management consulting firm and/or tech/ecommerce companies. – Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities. Experience in benchmarking, market research, competitor analysis, and GTM strategy. – Competitor Analysis: specific experience in equity research, public market investing (e.g., hedge fund, mutual fund), and/or corporate finance/sharehold value consulting. – Strong communication skills and can effectively handle cross-functional collaboration. – Strong ownership mentality and desire to work closely with business teams – take proactive initiative to identify business challenges, analyze problems, and autonomously develop and implement innovative solutions; demonstrate motivated self-starter attitude focused on continuous improvement. – For Category BP roles: Experience in GTM, consumer engagement, and merchandising strategies for Beauty/BPC, Fashion, Pre-owned/Collectibles, Food/Beverage/Health, Consumer Electronics, Pet, Baby/Children, and/or Books/Publishing categories – preferably in 3P / marketplace environment – For Creator, Content, Partnership BP roles: Experience in creator monetization, content growth strategy, affiliate marketing programs, and/or external content partnerships (creator and service agencies) |
