Responsibilities – Identifying U.S. state & local tax issues related to new business initiatives, as well as tax automation systems. – Researching state and local income tax issues – Preparing detailed written tax guidance and requirements for the new projects – Manage the analysis and documentation of tax implications of new business issues – Research and analyze tax planning ideas to determine impacts on U.S. income tax reporting – Keep up-to-date on tax law and the organizational impact of changes – Train and mentor team members – Special projects as needed Required skills – Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit process, and tax law – Experience with preparing complicated tax returns for corporations. – Detail-oriented, organized, and able to deliver on tight timelines. – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. – Be able to work with multicultural teams and be patient and understanding. – Be able to work with a fast-paced start-up. – Experience from a Big-4 public accounting firm is preferred. Minimum Qualifications: – BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience. – 5 or more years of U.S. tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation. – CPA required. |
