Jod Description
Supervise and manage customs clearance operations for both import and export shipments.
– Ensure precise classification of goods, accurate duty calculations, and timely submission of required documentation.
– Stay current on customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance standards.
– Guarantee adherence to all applicable customs laws and regulations.
– Handle and resolve audits, disputes, or penalties related to customs.
– Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance compliance.
– Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding customs-related inquiries.
– Offer expert guidance on trade compliance, duty savings, and logistics strategies.
– Cultivate strong working relationships with customs authorities and other relevant entities.
– Lead, train, and support a team of customs brokers and clearance professionals.
– Establish performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations of team performance.
– Promote a culture focused on efficiency, continuous improvement, and excellence.
– Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for customs operations.
– Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize clearance times.
– Generate and present regular reports to senior leadership on customs operations and performance.


Minimum Qualifications

Customs Broker license is a must and familiar with Mexico customs is a plus
– Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
– Minimum 10 years of directly related customs compliance experience
– Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Good written and verbal skills and ability to effectively tailor approach to reach audience at all organizational levels in both English and Mandarin is required
– Demonstrated experience in customs brokerage, in-house customs operations, and working with freight forwarders
