About The Company

This logistics provider offers a range of services, including air and sea freight, warehousing, and efficient delivery solutions. Their team ensures smooth operations through a dedicated fleet and a network of strategically located facilities across the U.S.

About the Role

We are building a platform that integrates warehouses and truck drivers, similar to a low board + Uber model. This platform will allow warehouses to list cargo, attracting truck drivers to accept orders. We are looking for a General Project Manager to lead this initiative from the ground up, overseeing project planning, team building, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

– Project Initiation & Planning: Define project scope, roadmap, and milestones for building the logistics platform.
– Team Building: Assemble a cross-functional team, including engineers, designers, and operations specialists.
– Tech & Operations Integration: Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of warehouse management and driver dispatch systems.
– Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with warehouse operators and truck drivers to understand pain points and refine product-market fit.
– On-Site Presence: Work from our California warehouse locations to gain firsthand experience of logistics operations.
– Budget & Timeline Management: Ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
– Risk Management: Identify challenges and proactively implement solutions.

Qualifications

– Experience: 5+ years in project management, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or tech-driven platforms.
– Technical Background: Familiarity with software development, APIs, or logistics tech is a strong plus.
– Leadership Skills: Ability to build and manage a team from scratch.
– Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
– Location Flexibility: Must be able to work on-site in California during the initial setup phase.

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience in marketplace platforms, logistics startups, or transportation tech.
– Understanding of freight management systems or digital freight matching.
– Prior experience working with warehouses or trucking operations.
