Their team ensures smooth operations through a dedicated fleet and a network of strategically located facilities across the U.S. About the Role We are building a platform that integrates warehouses and truck drivers, similar to a low board + Uber model. This platform will allow warehouses to list cargo, attracting truck drivers to accept orders. We are looking for a General Project Manager to lead this initiative from the ground up, overseeing project planning, team building, and execution. Key Responsibilities – Project Initiation & Planning: Define project scope, roadmap, and milestones for building the logistics platform. – Team Building: Assemble a cross-functional team, including engineers, designers, and operations specialists. – Tech & Operations Integration: Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of warehouse management and driver dispatch systems. – Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with warehouse operators and truck drivers to understand pain points and refine product-market fit. – On-Site Presence: Work from our California warehouse locations to gain firsthand experience of logistics operations. – Budget & Timeline Management: Ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. – Risk Management: Identify challenges and proactively implement solutions. Qualifications – Experience: 5+ years in project management, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or tech-driven platforms. – Technical Background: Familiarity with software development, APIs, or logistics tech is a strong plus. – Leadership Skills: Ability to build and manage a team from scratch. – Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and decision-making skills. – Location Flexibility: Must be able to work on-site in California during the initial setup phase. Preferred Qualifications – Experience in marketplace platforms, logistics startups, or transportation tech. – Understanding of freight management systems or digital freight matching. – Prior experience working with warehouses or trucking operations. |
