Job Description – LiDAR System Integration and Performance Optimization: – Develop robust LiDar system integration processes. – Automate validation processes to enhance performance improvement and iteration cycle efficiency. – Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions. – Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability. Validation and Failure Analysis: – Develop and execute validation and reliability test plans. – Analyze test data and perform failure mode analysis to identify and address system-level performance and reliability concerns. Collaboration and Production Support: – Collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to scale system integration and metrology processes into production pipelines. – Support volume production maturity and assist key customers in understanding LiDAR use cases. Documentation and Communication: – Maintain detailed documentation of metrology processes, calibration protocols, testing results, and system performance. – Present findings, insights, and technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders effectively. Qualifications Education: – Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred. – Candidates with a Master’s degree and significant relevant experience will also be considered. – Fresh graduates with strong technical expertise are encouraged to apply. Technical Expertise: – Expertise in bringing up optical sensing systems. – Experience with optical product performance validation and reliability testing, with familiarity in corresponding validation methodologies. – Capable of developing test plans based on specifications or risk assessments. – Proficiency in scientific tools such as Python or MATLAB for test automation, data processing, and analysis. – Familiarity with high-speed mixed-signal electronics, circuitry theory, and mechanical systems (e.g., stack-up error analysis, servo systems) is a plus. Problem-Solving and Innovation: – Proven experience in solving complex technical challenges involving optical, electronic, and mechanical systems. – Ability to conduct systematic system-level analysis, develop experiments, and interpret data methodically. Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: – Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable, with a strong work ethic under pressure. – Effective team player, capable of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating in a fast-paced R&D environment. Preferred Experience: – Experience of manufacturing process development and validation. – Experience with LiDAR, IR laser systems, and point cloud calibration processes. |
