What’s the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Merchant Services Operations Assistant to support the daily operations of our merchant services department. This role involves assisting with merchant onboarding, transaction monitoring, customer support, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

– Assist with the merchant onboarding process, including reviewing applications, verifying documents, and coordinating approvals.
– Support daily transaction monitoring to identify potential fraud, chargebacks, or unusual activities.
– Handle merchant inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing systems, resolving issues related to payment processing, terminals, and account settings.
– Maintain and update merchant records, ensuring all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.
– Work closely with payment processors and banks to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve disputes.
– Assist in chargeback management, helping merchants with documentation and resolution procedures.
– Generate reports related to transaction volumes, risk assessments, and operational performance.
– Coordinate internal processes between merchant services, risk management, compliance, and finance teams to ensure seamless workflows.
– Facilitate internal communication, ensuring relevant teams are informed of operational updates, merchant issues, and process changes.


Qualifications & Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
– 1-3 years of experience in an Operations Assistant role (preferred but not required).
– Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
