Position Description Sales Strategy Development: – Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on acquiring new customers and penetrating new markets. – Analyze industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform business development efforts. – Establish ambitious but achievable sales targets aligned with new business revenue objectives. New Business Development: – Identify, engage, and convert prospective clients to drive new account growth. – Leverage personal industry experience and existing business relationships to accelerate sales cycles. – Build a qualified pipeline and maintain a clear plan to meet or exceed the $5M new customer revenue target by the end of 2025. – Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to craft tailored outreach strategies that resonate with target industries. Sales Operations: – Design and implement efficient sales processes and tools to support lead generation and conversion. – Monitor KPIs to evaluate performance, identify bottlenecks, and take proactive action when necessary. – Ensure consistent and accurate forecasting and sales reporting for new business. Customer Engagement and Handoff: – Lead the onboarding and transition of new customers to ensure a positive initial experience. – Coordinate with account management teams to ensure long-term client retention after acquisition. Qualification and Skill Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. – 10+ years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, with a strong track record of new business acquisition and sales leadership. – Demonstrated ability to independently develop new accounts and contribute significantly to revenue growth. – Proven ability to bring an existing sales pipeline and industry contacts that support immediate business development efforts. – Strong understanding of logistics solutions and customer requirements, particularly within the high-tech sector. – Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. – Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. – Highly analytical, organized, and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership. – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. – Familiarity with compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements in freight and logistics operations. |
